Makes the perfect cozy breakfast. It tastes indulgent but this cake boasts super nutrition! Made with a healthy combination of oats, sweetened with brown sugar and studded with salted caramel morsels combined with real caramel bits. Makes an 8x8 or 9x9 panful. Delicious warm or cold.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 2 cups milk (or nut milk).
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten.
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter or melted coconut oil.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 375F and spray or parchment line an 8x8 inch square baking dish.
  2. Empty contents of pouch into a large bowl
  3. Add all wet ingredients into your bowl with dry ingredients. Stir to combine your wet and dry ingredients together.
  4. Pour oatmeal mixture into prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, until the top is golden. Remove your oatmeal cake from the coven and let it cool a few minutes. Cut into 12 slices and serve. Top with caramel sauce, pancake syrup or maple syrup.
  6. Optional Additions: Add a handful of walnuts to your oatmeal cake before baking for a caramel and oatmeal cake twist!
  7. Storage: store in the refrigerator in an air-tight container for up to 4 days.
  8. Reheat: Reheat in microwave for about a minute. Or in oven, cover leftover baked oatmeal with foil and reheat at 350F for bout 5 to 10 minutes.
