An iron is one of the best tools in our grown up tools arsenal, keeping our clothing crisp and pretty. But if it's covered in brown gook, it doesn't do us any good (Helo sticky ugly brown scorch stain!
Here, how to clean that gross and gunky residue once and for all.
What you need: A sheet of paper, table salt and a damp cloth
What you do: Sprinkle a generous amount of salt on the piece of paper and run your hot iron over it a couple of times. Then unplug the iron and let it cool before wiping it down with the cloth.
Why it works: The build-up and grime will actually stick to the salt so that, when you wipe it down, the dirt comes right off.
