Our finger-friendly sweet is stacked with a glorious pecan pie filling atop a buttery shortbread base, making it super easy to make and even easier to eat! YOU WILL NEED:

BASE:

  • 2/3 cup butter, cut into small cubes 

 

FILLING:

  • 3 tablespoons butter 

  • 2 large eggs 

  • 2/3 cup light / white corn syrup  

 

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Open package and remove clear bag, set aside 

  1. Preheat oven 350F 

  1. Parchment line a 8x8 or 9x9 pan 

  1. For Crust, add butter to a medium sized bowl and using an electric mixer, cream butter on medium speed until light and fluffy. Turn mixer to LOW speed and add contents found directly inside your pouch. Beat your butter with your dry mix until it resembles coarse crumbs 

  1. Transfer your crumbly dough into your prepared pan and press it with your fingertips onto the bottom and about 1 ¼ inches up around the side. Refrigerate for 30 minutes 

  1. Bake crust for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown. Halfway through the baking, use the back of a spoon to smooth your sides and corners. Transfer pan to a wire rack and let the crust cool before filling. 

  1. In a medium saucepan melt butter (3 tablespoons) over medium heat. Remove your saucepan from heat and whisk in your corn syrup and contents of CLEAR bag (remove in step 1). Whisk in eggs quickly until thoroughly blended.  

  1. Pour your filling onto your pre-baked crust and bake for 35 minutes until the filling is set. Transfer the pan to a rack and let cool completely. Cut into bars and serve
