YOU WILL NEED :

  •         6 to 8 apples, peeled cored and chopped
  •         ¾ cup soft butter
  •         2/3 cup water

DIRECTIONS

  1.     Preheat oven to 350F
  2.     Lightly grease an 8x8 or 9x9 square pan.
  3.     Open package and remove 2 clear bags found inside pouch.
  4.     Add contents of SMALL pouch to your apples and toss to coat. Pour apples into your prepared pan. Set aside
  5.     In a clean bowl pour contents found directly inside your pouch into your bowl.  Add butter. Using a pastry blender or 2 forks, blend your butter into your mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Pour your mixture over your apples and spread to smooth the topping over all your apples. Set aside
  6.     Bake your crisp for 35 to 45 minutes until your top is lightly golden. Remove from oven.
  7.     While your crisp is cooling, make the caramel: Add a medium sized saucepan to your stovetop along with water and contents found in your MEDIUM unlabeled bag (this bag contains caramel bits).  Stir well. Bring mixture to a BOIL, stirring often to prevent burning of your mix.  BOIL your mix for 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat. Let sit for 5 minutes until it just starts to thicken and then drizzle your caramel over your apple crisp.
  8.     Serve warm, cold and even with a scoop of ice cream
