Baked not fried! So easy to make! Perfect sweet single bite delight.  A lightly sweet dough that is super simple to make. Simply cut your dough into bite sized squares, bake them off and then while still warm dip them in butter and coat them in the cinnamon sugar mix provided.  Cool slightly and enjoy.  These bites are a soft, buttery, chewy and sweet snack.

Also great made in an air fryer! The air fryer gives this a crispy, sugary coating that's definitely hard to resist!

Want to level it up? Use half the cinnamon sugar mix and blend with 8oz cream cheese. Stuff your poppables with your cream cheese mix and bake off! Then sprinkle in more of your cinnamon sugar and voila! tiny poppable cinnamon sugar stuffed cheesecake poppables

Just add butter and water. Makes enough for 20 to 30 bites

YOU WILL NEED

  •          6 tablespoons melted butter for your dough, slightly warm
  •          ¾ to 1 ¼ cups warm water for your dough
  •          ¼ to 1/3 cup melted butter for dipping

DIRECTIONS

  1.     Line a cookie tray with parchment paper
  2.     Open your pouch and remove clear bag.
  3.     Pour contents found directly inside your pouch into a large mixing bowl.  Add butter and ¾ cup warm water to your dry mix.  Stir your dry and wet ingredients together until a very slightly tacky dough forms.  Add more water 1 tablespoon at a time until you reach an elastic, slightly tacky dough. Knead your dough using a dough hook or by hand for 4 minutes.  Let your dough rest for 10 minutes.
  4.     Pinch off 1 inch pieces of dough and roll them in between your hands into balls. Repeat for all your dough pieces.  Let your dough balls rest for another 10 minutes.
  5.     Melt ¼ cup to 1/3 cup butter in a microwave safe bowl
  6.     Empty contents of clear bag removed in step 2 (cinnamon sugar mix) and pour it onto a plate, spreading the cinnamon sugar mix evenly over the plate
  7.     Dip your dough balls into your butter, shaking off excess butter and then rolling into cinnamon sugar
  8.     Place your dough balls onto your cookie tray
  9.     Preheat oven 400F
  10. Bake your poppables for 17 to 22 minutes (do not over bake. You want them JUST done). If you like crispy edges, carefully flip your poppablesthree quarters of the way through your baking.
  11. Remove from oven and cool slightly. Enjoy warm.

Option: If you have extra cinnamon sugar leftover, you can double dust! After your poppables are removed from the oven, re-melt any leftover butter and give them a quick dip in butter and re-roll into leftover sugar

Dunking fun! Great dunked in chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and cheesecake dips!

Jenns Tips and Tricks
I made these as directed ingredient-wise.
I chose to cheat on forming them into balls 🤣 and instead rolled them into ropes (4) and used my kitchen shears to chop pieces. So they aren't pretty rounds and are more disc like but it saved a ton of time 🤣 and I was not into spending too much time making little balls 🤣
Be careful when baking, its easy to over bake them because they are small so keep an eye on them
If you want to level up the cinnamon sugar, reserve half the cinn sugar mix for after these come out and dip them again in butter and roll them in the reserved sugar (my photos show a single pre-baked dip).
