YOU WILL NEED

  •          1 cup butter for dough and 1 teaspoon butter for filling

DIRECTIONS

 

  1.       Preheat oven to 350F
  2.       Remove clear package found inside your pouch
  3.       In a medium bowl cream butter until light and fluffy.
  4.       Empty contents found directly inside your pouch into your fluffy butter and mix your dry ingredients into your butter until the dough comes together. It can take a little work. If you are still finding your dough too try, you can add 1 teaspoon of water at a time until your dough is soft
  5.       Refrigerate dough half hour or until chilled
  6.       Pinch off dough into 1 ½ inch balls and place them onto an ungreased cookie sheet
  7.       Make a small hole with your thumb in the center of each ball
  8.       BAKE cookies for 14 to 18 minutes in preheated oven or until lightly brown
  9.       Remove from oven and if your indents have disappeared slightly when baking, then lightly re-press your indent back into the middle. Let cool completely
  10.   Empty contents of your clear bag (removed in step 1) into a microwave safe bowl. Add 1 teaspoon butter. Microwave on HIGH at 10 second intervals, stirring your chocolate caramel mix in between. Continue to microwave and stir JUST until your chocolate is melted. Do NOT over cook your chocolate or it will turn into a hard rock.

Fill the center of each of your thumbprints with melted mixture.  Let cool completely. Your filling will harden when drying. If you want a softer center, add in 1 tablespoon of heavy cream before microwaving in addition to your butter
