Contents of this package: Three bags: one medium unlabeled bag (Crunchy Biscuit Top), one small unlabeled bag(sauce/Gravy mix), one medium unlabeled bag (mixed veggies).
You will need:
For the Biscuit Top: 1/3 cup (113ml) cold milk, 4 tablespoons (60ml) canola oil
For the Chicken & Gravy: 3 cups (480 to 720 ml) milk, 2 cups cubed chicken breast, 4 tablespoons (56g) butter.
Step 1: Prepare the Crunchy Biscuit Top: Add the contents of the Crunchy Biscuit Top bag with the milk and oil and mix untiljust combined. Set mix aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Chicken Mix: Brown the chicken with half of the butter in a skillet set to medium heat. Once fully browned, set aside in a medium-sized bowl.
In the still warm skillet, set on medium heat, add the remaining butter and let it melt.
Add the contents of the small unlabeled bag (Sauce/Gravy Mix) and quickly mix together until it is smooth; about 45 seconds.
Slowly add in the milk, whisking at the same time, and mix until the flour has dissolved into the milk. Use as much milk as you like for your desired gravy consistency. It will thicken as it cooks. Start with 2 cups of milk and add more as it thickens.
When the mixture is thickened to your favorite gravy style, add the veggie bag and return the chicken to the pan. Turn off the heat. Stir well.
If using a skillet which is ovenproof, spread or place the Crunchy Biscuit Top Mix (flatten the biscuit mix into small round disks) onto the chicken mixture.
If your skillet is not ovenproof, transfer the chicken mixture into a baking dish and then add the biscuit mix on top.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. The biscuit topping will be lightly browned and crunchy and you may see gravy bubbling through the top.
