YOU WILL NEED: CHICKEN 

  • 3 to 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded thin 

  • 4 cups buttermilk 

 

DIRECTIONS: FRIED CHICKEN 

  1. Pour your buttermilk into a large bowl. Add your chicken. Place lid on and let refrigerate for 1 hour or up to overnight 

  1. Empty contents found inside your clear bag onto a large plate. Dredge your chicken into your fried chicken base. Then dip once again into your buttermilk and once more into your fried chicken base 

  1. Add vegetable or peanut oil to a fryer or a large pot, about 3 inches deep. Bring your oil up to 350F.  Fry one to two pieces at a time. The chicken will drop the temperature of the oil, so be sure to monitor it to a constant 350F.  

  1. Fry your chicken for approximately 14 minutes. Your chicken should register 165F (white meat) and 175F (dark meat)  

 

For an unfried variation: Add ¼ cup butter to a jelly roll or sheet pan.  Melt butter inside your oven (preheat to 425F). Once just melted, remove pan from oven. Place chicken onto pan. Flip your chicken half way through baking (it will take 25 to 35 minutes to bake).  Keep warm and serve alongside your mash 

 

YOU WILL NEED: POTATO MASH  

  • 2-3/4 cup (660mL) hot water 

  • 1/4 cup (60mL) sour cream (or additional hot water) 

 

DIRECTIONS: Potato Mash 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). 

  1. In a large bowl, combine contents found directly inside your pouch with 2-3/4 cup hot water and 1/4 cup sour creamMix with a fork until combined.  If you like your mashed potatoes more fluid, add more water until desired consistency is reached. 

  1. Transfer your mixture to an 8”x 8” baking dish and spread until even.  Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. 

  1. Bake covered for 25-30 minutes until heated through. Scoop into your dishes and serve
