Easy Waffle Breakfast Sandwiches

Chicken and waffles move over! Try this egg and meat-filled waffle sandwich as a variation to the savory style waffle-wich!

Optional - top with lettuce

This is a perfect brunch dish to serve with guests or during your holiday season.

Ingredients

FOR THE WAFFLES:

1 Box Mix - Do You Bake? Breakfast Belgian Waffle Mix

2 eggs

3 cups of milk

6 tablespoons melted butter

FOR THE SANDWICHES:

2 to 3 slices smoked Montreal meat per sandwich

1 egg

salt, pepper to taste

butter

Directions

MAKE YOUR WAFFLES:

1- Combine milk, waffle mix, eggs, and melted butter into a large bowl. Whisk until smooth.

2- Set aside for 10 minutes

3- Cook waffles according to waffle iron manufacturer directions.

4- Place cooked waffles in a warm oven (about 200F) while you prepare the toppings

MAKE YOUR WAFFLE SANDWICHES:

1- Crack 1 egg per sandwich inside a medium skillet (lightly buttered). Cook on medium-low (with a lid on top. Pour a teaspoon of water into your skillet to allow the steam to slightly cook the yolk and cook the white.

2- Remove waffles from oven and top with a few slices of meat and a sunnyside up egg.

3- Season with salt and pepper and place top waffle on top.

4- Serve and enjoy!

You can easily substitute the Montreal Smoked meat with Pastrami or Corned Beef.  For an even sexier waffle-sandwich, saute your meat on each side for about 20 seconds and then add to your waffle.

Mexican 7 Layer Bean Dip

Ingredients

1 can (16oz) refried beans

2 Tablespoons Do You Bake? Autentico Seasoning

1 package (8oz) cream cheese, soft

1 cup Salsa (your fave variety!)

2 cups shredded lettuce

2 cups shredded Cheddar or Mexican Cheese blend

1 cup Guacamole (optional layer)

1 can olives, drained (approx 1/2 cup) - sliced

1 medium tomato, diced (about 3/4 cup)

Your favorite tortilla chips for delicious dipping!

Directions

1- In a medium bowl, mix refried beans, and your Do You Bake? Autentico Seasoning mix. Spread mix on the bottom of your dish or bowl

2- In another medium bowl, mix cream cheese until soft. Spread over bean mixture.

3- Top with salsa, lettuce, cheese olives and tomatoes

4- Refrigerate until serving time. Serve with Tortilla Chips

Slow Cooker Breakfast Casserole
Slow Cooker Breakfast Casserole

The all-American breakfast bake gets a slow-cooker makeover! his savory sausage and egg breakfast casserole is the perfect way to feed a big brunch crowd—picky eaters and all. Not a sausage fan? Substitute for bacon of any type! Just make sure you cook and crumble the bacon before using it in your layers!

Ingredients

1 pound of favorite sausage (Chorizo, Italian, Breakfast)

8 eggs

1 cup milk

2 cups shredded cheddar or other cheese

1 Tablespoon Do You Bake? Mediterranean Seasoning

1 teaspoon Do You Bake? Simply Season All Seasoning

3 slices bread, cut up into cubes

2 Tablespoons Melted Butter

1 cup chopped fresh or frozen vegetables (peppers, onions, broccoli, cauliflower as suggestions)

Directions

1- In 10-inch skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink; drain. Set aside.

2- In a medium bowl, beat eggs, milk, and seasonings. Reserve 3/4 cup of the cheese for the topping

3- Line side of 5- to 6-quart slow cooker with foil folded into thirds; spray foil with cooking spray.

4- Layer with half of the cooked sausage, then your vegetables and half the remaining cheese

5- Repeat layers as needed

6- Pour egg mixture over

7- Top with bread cubes and drizzle your butter on top

8- Lightly sprinkle with additional Do You Bake? Mediterranean and Simply Season All Seasonings

9- Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 5 hours (or High heat setting 2 to 3 hours) or until set and temperature in the center is 160°F. Sprinkle with reserved 3/4 cup cheese

10- Cover; cook 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Remove foil before serving by loosening edges with a table knife.

Ingredients

yellow squash cut in half

6 oz. chorizo sausage

1 cup cooked Do You Bake? Sage-Rosemary Stuffing Mix

1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp Butter

Salt and pepper

Pumpkin seeds and balsamic vinegar reduction for garnish

Directions

1- Prepare your Do You Bake? Sausage & Apple Stuffing Mix ahead of time or use your leftovers from last night's dinner! Follow the box directions.

2- Lay the squash down on a buttered or oiled baking sheet and spoon out the seeds to make a hollow cavity in the squash.

3- Season lightly and then mound the prepared stuffing into each.

4- Top with the sausage and then bake for 10-12 minutes in a 400-degree oven or until the squash is soft and the sausage is browned.

5- At that point sprinkle the cheese over top and bake for an additional minute or two to melt the cheese.

6- Serve on a simple plate garnished with pumpkin seeds and balsamic vinegar.Also great as a side dish!

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup red hot sauce (3/4 cup for spicier version!)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded chicken breast (optional)

 

Directions

1- Preheat oven 350F

2- Grease a 10x10 pan

3- Beat cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and ranch salad dressing mix together

4- Fold in shredded chicken

5- Spread mixture into a 10x10 casserole dish (lightly greased)

6- Top with cheddar cheese

7- Bake 15 - 20 minutes, uncovered until cheddar is hot and bubbly and your dip is baked through

Ingredients

3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1 box Do You Bake? Gourmet Brownies Mix

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup honey (or agave/maple syrup)

OPTIONAL ADDITIONS:

1/3 cup shredded coconut

1/2 cup sliced almonds

1/4 cup cranberries

1/2 cup peanut butter

 

Directions

1- Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F

2- Line a standard-sized baking sheet with a baking mat or parchment paper and set aside

3- In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats (any dry extra optional additions) and Do You Bake? Gourmet Brownie Mix

4- In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the oil along with the honey (and peanut butter if you decide to turn this into a chocolate peanut butter granola). Heat for 45 seconds at a time, stirring at each interval until all wet ingredients are combined.

5- Pour wet mixture over the dry ingredients and toss to combine. Make sure everything is coated.

6- Spread onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer. Place in the oven and bake for 40 minutes, stirring at every 10.

7- Remove from oven and allow to cool for at least an hour before serving and breaking apart.

8- Store in an air-tight container for up to a week

Ingredients

DOUGH

1 Box Mix: Do You Bake? Sticky Buns

1 egg

1 cup milk (warm)

1/3 cup butter (soft)

FILLING

1 Can (21oz) Strawberry Pie Filling

GLAZE

1 8-oz brick cream cheese

2 tablespoons soft butter

2 - 3 tablespoons milk

Directions

DOUGH MAKING

1- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat add the milk and butter. Stir until the butter has melted and remove from heat. Let stand until lukewarm temperature.

2- In a large mixing bowl whisk together the contents of the large bag found in your box Do You Bake? Sticky Rolls box mix with your wet ingredients.

3- Beat with an electric mixer or dough hook until a soft dough forms and becomes smooth

MAKE YOUR ROLLS

1- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a large 9x15 square. About ¼-1/2 inch thick.

2- Spread strawberry pie filling evenly on top of the dough.

3- Sprinkle the contents of your filling mix package on top of your strawberry pie filling.

4- Roll up the 15-inch side into a log and pinch the seams.

5- Cut into 9-12 slices depending on how thick you want your cinnamon rolls.

6- Place in a greased 9x13 inch pan and lightly brush tops with warm melted butter. Let rise for an additional 45 to 60 minutes until doubled in size

BAKE YOUR ROLLS

1- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until just golden brown on the tops.

GLAZE YOUR ROLLS

1- In a small bowl combine contents of your glaze package with cream cheese, butter, and milk. Beat until smooth. Glaze the tops of your rolls with your cream-cheese pecan goodness and serve immediately.

Spinach Stuffed Manicotti

This is a super easy Manicotti recipe that will take you less than 15 minutes to oven ready.  A great recipe for those days of the week when you have less than an hour for dinner.  This meal can be made ahead for up to 24 hours and cooked the day after.

Ingredients

1 box (8oz) uncooked manicotti shells (approx 14)

2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend (8oz)

1 container (15oz) ricotta cheese

1/3 cup Do You Bake? Spinach & Artichoke Dip Mix

1 box (10oz) frozen cut spinach (thawed, drained and water squeezed out)

1 egg, slightly beaten

1 jar (25oz) favorite pasta sauce

Directions

1- Heat oven to 375°F. Cook manicotti as directed on box. Rinse with cool water; drain well.

2- In a medium bowl, stir together 1 1/2 cups of the Italian cheese blend, contents of Do You Bake? Spinach & Artichoke dip, ricotta cheese, spinach, and egg.

3- In the bottom of an ungreased 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish, spread 1 cup of the pasta sauce. Spoon ricotta mixture into manicotti; place over sauce in the dish.

4- Pour remaining sauce over manicotti.

5- Cover tightly with foil; bake about 30 minutes or until sauce is bubbling.

6- Uncover dish; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup Italian cheese blend.

7- Bake uncovered 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

NOTES:

  • The Italian cheese blend adds a nice flavor twist to this dish, but you could use mozzarella instead.
  • You can make this recipe up to 24 hours ahead. Just cover and refrigerate until ready to bake. You can expect about 15 minutes extra baking time.

Ingredients

1 Box Mix - Do You Bake? Buttermilk Biscuits

2 capfuls - Do You Bake? Autentico Seasoning Blend

1 pound lean ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

1 can (16oz) tomato sauce

1 cup of frozen corn

1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican Style Cheese

1 1/2 cup milk

1 egg

Sour cream, chopped tomato, and shredded lettuce, if desired for topping

Directions

1- Heat oven to 325ºF. Grease rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.

2- Cook ground beef and onion in 10-inch skillet, stirring frequently until beef is brown; drain. Stir in Do You Bake? Autentico Seasoning, tomato sauce, and corn.

3- Spoon into pan; sprinkle with cheese.

4- In a separate bowl, stir contents of Do You Bake? Buttermilk Biscuit mix with milk and eggs until smooth

5- Pour over Beef Mixture

6- Bake about 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

7- Cool 10 minutes before cutting.

8- Serve with remaining ingredients.

Top it like a taco with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and sour cream. To make it extra-special, add sliced ripe olives, guacamole and something spicy such as chopped jalapeño chilies or crushed red pepper.

2 eggs

1 cup icing sugar

1 teaspoon water

Directions

MAKE YOUR COOKIES

1- Preheat oven 350 degrees F

2- Inside a medium bowl, combine the contents of your Do You Bake? Summer Sammie's box mix with the eggs and the butter

3- Beat with an electric mixer until well combined

4- Refrigerate dough for 15 minutes or until it is easy to roll in between your hands

5- Roll your dough in between your hands into 1" golf-ball-sized rounds

6- Press lightly down onto your ungreased pan and form a ball

7- Bake for 13 - 17 minutes until edges are slightly crunchy and the middle is soft

8- Remove from oven and cool completely before filling.

MAKE YOUR FILLING

1- In a medium-sized bowl combine confectioners sugar, peanut butter, and water. Beat until smooth.

ASSEMBLE YOUR SANDWICHES

1- Scoop a tablespoon of peanut butter filling on the bottom of one cookie and top with another cookie. Press gently together and refrigerate.
