You will need:
1 large egg, 2 tablespoons (30ml) vegetable oil, 3/4 cup (177ml) water, butter for pan
In a medium bowl, combine the contents of the package with the wet ingredients. Beat the mixture together and allow it to sit for 10 minutes
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and bring the pan up to temperature. Spoon pancake mixture into the pan; dropping to your favorite size of a pancake, allowing room between cakes for spreading. Cook for two minutes, or until browned on one side, with tiny bubbles appearing on the surface.
Carefully flip and brown on the second side for 1 or 2 minutes. Remove from heat and plate your pancakes, adding a dollop of butter to the top of each. Serve with your favorite fruit, syrup or pancake topping.
Tip: For a thinner pancake add an additional 1/4 cup (59ml) of water
Makes 8 to 10 medium-sized hearty pancakes.
